There was no debate on this – Bill Maher's real time On Thursday night, the presidential candidates were going to talk about the results of the battle and Joe Biden's performance.

Maher opened the show with a couple jabs, noting that Trump wouldn't have gotten away with his tall tales if only Joe Biden had been present. It was a theme that carried over to the show's panel segment, where former presidential candidate and congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard tried to inject some common sense into the banter of Maher and guest Chris Matthews.

Basically, the ball is in Biden's court when it comes to continuing his campaign, he conceded. “It's his decision. He has the delegates. There's nothing to do,” Matthews said.

Even if Biden decides to fall on his sword, little change is on the horizon, Gabbard said. “I don't think it matters. When you look at Joe Biden's policies, all these pieces that have been destructive to our country will continue.

Even Maher — who has consistently said he'd vote for Biden in a Trump matchup if his head was in a bowl of blue water — admitted, “They're going to stick with this guy and he's going to lose. And it's obvious.” He later added, “I feel abandoned. I have no one to vote for.”

Earlier, Maher's one-on-one interview with Ray Kurzweil, inventor, futurist, and author The New York Times Best sellers, Singularity Is Near: When We Meet AI

Kurzweil is best known for predicting that AI will reach the level of human emotions by 2029, a theory he put forward at the turn of the century.

Now, Kurzweil said, he predicts that humans will merge with AI and other technologies to achieve a kind of immortality, becoming “a hybrid species.” He believes that this will happen within 20 years.

Kurzweil is aware of the dangers that can come with it, and acknowledges that there are bad actors who will try to exploit the technology in dangerous ways.

But, he said, “It's not us vs. AI. We'll better ourselves with AI.”

In Maher's “New Rules” editorial, he turns to the TED Talk format to tell young men what they need to do to attract young women. They should use GAME.

GAME stars with a G: “Go out, prepare, and goodwill” – later to replace poor clothes. Is it possible to attract women if you ignore hygiene? Maher quotes Tommy Lee and Johnny Depp. “But remember—you're not him.”

The A in the plan stands for “Act Normal”. Klingons or scary facial hair don't order dinner.

M stands for “Man up! You'll approach women so they like you. The biggest pick-up line is 'hello,'” he added.

Finally, the E stands for “eye contact. Stop looking at your phone. If you want to bone, put it down.”
