Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vencira discusses the use of AI in upcoming movies and TV shows. In an official statement, the company says it is “very focused on AI”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Viniccarra made the remarks during an investor conference in Japan on Thursday, May 30.”We will primarily explore ways to use AI to create films for theater and television in more efficient ways using AI.” said Vinciquerra. Regarding the resolutions reached during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Vinciquerra noted, “the agreements that came out of last year's strikes and the agreements that will come out of IATSE and Teamster. DC Comics has also come under fire for its alleged use of generative AI in several titles.
